Great review of Simon's concerts with Odense Symphony and Anne Sofie von Otter

Magical Evening
"Swiss Simon Gaudenz has been principal guest conductor for three years in Odense. His energetic conducting technique is a great pleasure to watch. The finishing Schumann Symphony - number four - is shaped as a struggle and fight between trolls and other fairytale like figures. The sentimental, refined, thundering and quiet temperament are unfolded. Although Odense Symphony Orchestra is in great shape one feels that on an evening like this, both conductor and orchestra are standing on toes in eagerness to give their best. And it works!"
